Top Tools Apps Performance on Android in Australia, Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, several tools apps made significant strides on the Android platform in Australia. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s an overview of the performance of the top five apps.

QR & Barcode Scanner saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, reaching a peak of approximately 13.6K in early March. Despite these variations, the app maintained a robust user base with weekly active users ranging from about 476K to 545K.

PDF Reader & PDF Viewer experienced a notable surge in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at around 23.8K in early March. Active user numbers followed a similar upward trend, rising steadily to approximately 28K by mid-March.

Google Authenticator had a consistent performance with downloads hovering around the 9K mark for most of the quarter. The app's active users increased, reaching a high of about 555K in early March.

My Telstra demonstrated stable download numbers, with minor fluctuations around 9K weekly. Active users showed variability, peaking at approximately 435K in late February before settling around 333K by the end of March.

Finally, myVicRoads maintained an average of 9K downloads per week initially, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained fairly steady, averaging around 85K.
